Upcycling
We believe that ‘Good Planets are Hard to Find’! Whether vintage, thrift or curbside finds, Craft Rehab will inspire you to transform any found object to keep it out of landfill. Turn a phone booth into a planter. Transform a computer hard drive into a clock. Look to your recycling bin to make a SwingOut Catchall from tuna cans.
Browse ideas for our upcycling take from Christmas to Valentines Day. You may be so inspired with our gift ideas, that you’ll want to make one for yourself while you’re at it. Hop to it with our Easter Bunny wreaths. Then continue the fun into Halloween and beyond. Follow along with our tutorials and videos to make something special.

It’s always with a heavy sigh that we transition away from creating outside to coming up with craft ideas for Autumn! Pretty soon, we’ll be winterizing our backyard pond diy and our small water feature in the front! But not before we take a moment to breath in the crisp Fall air and feel the sunshine on our face as we enjoy the Fall foliage. The changing of the leaves is always a spectacle to behold here in Canada (as is the changing colours of the acorns which you can craft for Fall further ahead)!
The crochet coral reef exhibit has finally come to Ontario and I’m excited to have an opportunity to be a coral reef contributor with my own artistic interpretation of a coral reef (I’m one of 20,000 participants who have contributed to creating crochet reefs around the world). Continue reading →

Hubs purchased this harp back chair for me on a whim when he was picking up a sewing machine for his new vintage sewing machine repair hobby. A few years ago, this past month was an emotional roller coaster for us as both our moms passed away from Alzheimer’s. While my mom was in palliative care, immersing myself in learning Tunisian crochet became a way to channel my sadness into something positive. As I worked on the design for the Kayla pillow, I would sit by her side, crocheting and keeping her company—a bittersweet memory that now holds a special place in my heart.
Kayla Pillow – Crochet for a Cure
My mom taught me to crochet when I was just six years old, sparking a lifelong love for all things DIY and craft. Now, it feels like everything has come full circle. In memory of our moms, we’re donating 100% of all pattern sales to support Alzheimer’s research. With spring on the horizon, it’s a season of renewal and fresh possibilities—something the Kayla crochet pillow cover beautifully represents!
