These air plant holders, aka air plant pods, are great for displaying your air plants anywhere you’d like to hang them, like in a window or even on the fridge. I love thinking up new and different ways to display air plants (like this cement planter and air plant holder DIY.
I think they’d be a great gift for mother’s day, or gift for grandma! They’re easy enough to flatten and send along in the mail as a gift (without the air plant, of course)!
This project starts with some thrifted yarn and two sizes of loose-leaf binder rings. Continue reading →

A few years ago, this past month was an emotional roller coaster for us as both our moms passed away from Alzheimer’s. While my mom was in palliative care, immersing myself in learning Tunisian crochet became a way to channel my sadness into something positive. As I worked on the design for the Kayla pillow, I would sit by her side, crocheting and keeping her company—a bittersweet memory that now holds a special place in my heart.
Kayla Pillow – Crochet for a Cure
My mom taught me to crochet when I was just six years old, sparking a lifelong love for all things DIY and craft. Now, it feels like everything has come full circle. In memory of our moms, we’re donating 100% of all pattern sales to support Alzheimer’s research. With spring on the horizon, it’s a season of renewal and fresh possibilities—something the Kayla crochet pillow cover beautifully represents!

This steering wheel cover DIY is inspired by a true life story: the day I intentionally crush my husband’s car. If you’re wondering how I came to upcycle a steering wheel and mount it on my wall, it all started with a simple question ‘What’s on your bucket list?’ That’s how this whole story began.

This needle felted elf will make a cute addition to your Christmas decor!
I recently took a course on needle felting featuring needle felted elves. Needle felting is something I’ve alway wanted to learn! When I discovered that I could get wool roving online, I was excited to practice what I had learned and design my own project. Amazon has a great selection of colours of wool roving and tools by Clover. Continue reading →
This free crochet frog pattern came about one night while watching The Orville. I couldn’t help but notice the Frog leaned up against the desk light on captain Ed Mercer’s desk because he always steals the scene! I love Kermit the Frog so the next day I was inspired to make Kermit’s counterpart to adorn wherever I choose to place her.
Only problem was, I couldn’t find a free frog pattern I liked so I had to make my own. You know what they say about necessity being the mother of invention, don’t you? If you love frogs as much as I do, you’ll be thrilled to get your free crochet frog pattern for Gabriola at the end of this post. Continue reading →
